This year’s Gabii sa Kabilin (Night of Heritage) will include 20 heritage structures in the cities of Cebu and Mandaue.
According to Jocelyn Guerra of the Ramon Aboitiz Foundation Inc. (RAFI), they expect around 10,000 people to join the event, which involves a night visit to Cebu and Mandaue museums and other heritage structures for only P150.
We’re currently discussing our proposal to hold a QR code hunt during the Gabii sa Kabilin this May and they’re very open to the idea. Initially, we’ve agreed to have 20 teams of two to three people per team.
The hunt will be a race that heavily involves new technology since participants will be asked to find historical information hidden in QR code markers placed in the 20 heritage sites. They will be asked to post information, photos, and videos related to Gabii sa Kabilin and pre-selected by hunt organizers.
Excited and really hoping this will push through.
