Another busy day June 22, 2005
Finally finished and submitted feature for online course. What a relief! I feel like going out and celebrating but may have to settle for glass of wine at home. I’m so tired.
I was out the whole day attending the Cebu 2005 ICT summit at the Waterfront Hotel in Cebu City. I posted some entries in the blog we created for the event. I posted a picture of President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo and a little of what she said in her speech using my mobile phone. The Sun.Star website is trying out mobile blogging and the ICT summit was the perfect event to test it on.
I had to leave though when I learned that my son was sent home from school because of high fever. When his temperature reached 41 degrees Celsius, we decided to bring him to a nearby hospital. The doctor said there is nothing that can be done at this point. Just that we have to let him rest and monitor his condition because illnesses like dengue would only manifest after three days.
The emergency room doctor said he sees no sign of any major illness so he is concluding that what my son have is probably a viral infection. He sent us home, gave us prescription for paracetamol and immune system stimulant, and charged us P450. Imagine that.
My feet were aching after all that going to and fro that I decided to have a foot massage when we got home from the hospital. The girl really did a good job with my nails, too.
She came to the house with a friend and they watched TV for a while and we snacked on junk food.
Max had a headache and had to be absent from work.
